The agent
Ask, Plan, or Agent. Plan proposes a pipeline you approve. Agent runs when it is confident.
The composer placeholder is Ask about your data…. Mode is in the + menu (Switch mode…) and shown under the box. Default is Agent. The choice is stored per project.

Approval
When a step needs a decision, the card has Accept, Skip, and Manage. That covers a proposed analysis, a data action, a tool call that writes, and each step of a prep playbook.
Filter previews always need confirm before they apply. Unambiguous analyses can run without a card. A superseded plan collapses to “Suggestion expired — ask again if needed”.
Attachments
CSV, Excel, or SPSS, up to 8 MB per file. Larger files are rejected with “is larger than 8 MB”.
What it can do
- Run the same analyses as the menu, after approval or auto-run
- Apply data actions (filters, compute, transforms)
- Chain merges in one plan when you attach several files and ask to merge and weight them — see Merging
- Walk a multi-step prep playbook, confirming each step
What it cannot do
It does not start procedures that have been removed from the workspace. That retired list is currently empty — saved reports still open if one is reintroduced.
It does not reach files outside the session, the public internet, or a disk outside the workspace.
